For the first 6 months of 2021, investment promotion has achieved certain results. Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones attracted 11 projects, of which there were:

- 3 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects invested in Da Nang Hi-tech Park with a total registered investment capital of 145.3 million USD (accounting for 99.24% of the total registered investment capital to Da Nang in early 2021), raising the total registered capital of FDI in Da Nang Hi-Tech Park to USD 545.1 million USD.

- 8 domestic projects investing in industrial zones in the city with a total registered investment capital of 188,4 billion VND.

In addition, DHPIZA also adjusted the Investment Registration Certificate for 31 projects, of which there are 5 projects having their registered investment capital increased by 874,000 USD and 134,3 billion VND.

Up to now, Da Nang Hi-Tech Park has attracted 24 projects, including 12 domestic projects with an investment capital of 6,291 billion VND and 12 FDI projects with an investment capital of 545.1 million USD. In total, High-tech parks and Industrial zones have attracted 499 projects with a total registered investment capital of 26.696 billion VND for domestic investment and 1,744.4 million USD for FDI.

According to the statistics by the Da Nang Statistic Office, for the first quarter of 2021, Da Nang City has attracted 5 domestic projects with a total registered investment capital of 394 billion VND and issued 9 new FDI projects. There were 17 times of capital adjustment projects and 98 times of capital contribution to buy shares with a total newly and additionally registered capital of 157.4 million USD.

Introduction of the United States Enterprise Co., Ltd project

On January 19, 2021, DHPIZA granted the Investment Registration Certificate for the project "United States Enterprises Semiconductor Materials Manufacturing Plant" with a total investment capital of 110 million USD and a total area of 102,200 m2. Phase 1, having a scale of 61,578 m2 and investment capital of 66 million USD, is expected to commence construction in the second quarter of 2021 and officially operate in the second quarter of 2023.

The project is registered to be implemented by 02 investors Mr. Ha Vinh Ly and Ms. Nhe Thi Le (US nationality), who are currently the owners of Hayward Quartz Technology, Inc. in the Silicon Valley in the U.S.A. Hayward Quartz Technology, Inc. is a leading supplier of Original Equipment Manufacturer in the semiconductor business sector. 

Introduction of the Fujikin project

On February 5, 2021, DHPIZA granted the Investment Registration Certificate to Fujikin International Co., Ltd. (Japan) to invest in the project of  Fujikin Da Nang Research, Development and Production Centre with a total investment capital of 35 million USD. Fujikin International Co., Ltd. is a member of Fujikin Group, the investor of the Fujikin Da Nang Research, Development and Production Center project in Da Nang Hi-Tech Park. The goal of the project is to conduct scientific research and develop technology in the fields of science, engineering and technology, including generations of robots, unmanned aerial vehicles, Hydrogen energy devices, Nano devices, artificial intelligence (AI) technology, water purification systems, wireless power transmission systems, and new materials development. The project also promotes research and development in the fields of information technology, medical equipment, pilot production and production of unmanned equipment, robots and medical equipment for commercialization and technological development purposes after research.
