At the meeting, Ms. Ngo Thi Kim Yen - Director of Department of Health reported that until January 31, 2020, Da Nang city has not recorded any cases of confirmed Coronavirus infection.

From January 25^th, the Department of Health has also requested responsible units to monitor all visitors to Da Nang from airport and harbour terminals. Untill January 31^st, Da Nang city has tracked 58 suspected cases of Coronavirus, sampled 39 cases for testing, 32/39 samples showed results and were all negative for Coronavirus.

Concluding the meeting, the Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee requested all departments and agencies proactively implementing disease prevention measures as directed by Prime Minister at Directive No. 05/CT-TTg signed on January 28^th, 2020 and Official Letter No. 79-CV/TW signed on January 29^th of the Central Executive Committee.

Da Nang People's Committee will establish a Steering Committee for the prevention of Coronavirus outbreak. The Department of Health will propose a detailed plan with different options suitable to each level of outbreak; continuously updated information about the situation, methods of infection control as well as professional treatment experiences for media.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the heads of departments and agencies to direct propaganda to all employees and citizen about the harmful effects of Coronavirus; raising awareness and the sense of responsibility for people to be self-defense; strictly handle cases of reporting inaccurately information causing public confusion.

The Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee also assigned the Department of Construction to urgently design, work with construction units, ready the plan to immediately deploy the construction of a field hospital within 10-15 days if necessary./.
